Welcome to the family, Daizo Nishitani

Please join us in welcoming Daizo, our new Managing Director for Japan, a new position that was created in response to the continuous growth the agency is experiencing in the region.

Daizo joins us with over 18 years of experience leading the forefront of media and marketing in Japan. Most recently at Apple, he served as General Manager for iAd, managing the Japan business and developing marketing partnerships with many global brands and agency partners. Prior to iAd, Nishitani was Vice President and General Manager of comScore Japan, where he built a team and led marketing and business development. In addition to his extensive digital marketing experience, Nishitani began his career in advertising as a media planner at Dentsu, and developed his rich marketing experience at Walt Disney Company and Viacom.

Kyoko Matsushita, CEO of Essence APAC, said: “We were looking for a strong leader with local media knowledge to ensure we continue to hold our business to the highest standards possible. And we wanted someone who could lead a team of experts to drive change within the regional media landscape. Daizo added: “Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with large companies and startup ventures in both traditional Japanese and global companies. I’m excited to apply my diverse advertising, marketing and business development experience to help fuel Essence’s growth.”
