Essence joins GroupM

Today, Essence announced that we've become part of WPP’s GroupM, the leading global media investment group, as an independent, digital first global media agency.

Rob Norman, Chief Digital Officer at GroupM, welcomed Essence, saying: “We’re delighted to begin collaborating with the talented colleagues that come with WPP’s strategic investment in Essence. The addition of Essence to GroupM represents a significant expansion of our digital expertise.”

This announcement comes as Essence turns 10, now a global digital agency with offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Singapore and Tokyo, and a team of more than 500 people deploying campaigns in more than 70 markets and managing more than US$ 700MM in media. As part of GroupM, we will continue operating as an independent brand within the group while benefiting from the group’s media partnership, trading power, technology and data.
