Global head of experience Garrick Schmitt named one of Adweek's Creative 100
Adweek has named Essence's global head of experience Garrick Schmitt as one of the publication's 'Creative 100', an annual list of the world's leading creative talent spanning advertising, marketing, media, and entertainment.
Schmitt is credited as one of several agency leaders who are reshaping the industry for his work to bring a user-centric approach to advertising and break down the barriers between media and creativity.
2021 marks the seventh annual publication of the Creative 100, which profiles the world's 'most fascinating and enviable creative professionals, ranging from influential icons to emerging game-changers.'
Other honorees in this year's issue include Peloton's chief content officer Jennifer Cotter, Google Brand Studio's head of brand accessibility KR Liu, AKQA experience principal Hillary Coe, the poet and activist Amanda Gorman, rapper and investor Nas, and director Chloé Zhao.
