Clare Chapman

Head of Media Planning, EMEA

As Head of Media Planning in EMEA, Clare Chapman oversees Essence’s planning teams across the region, working closely with brands including BT, L’Oreal, Google, the Financial Times, Peloton, and Nandos.

Clare joined Essence in 2018 with two decades of experience in media and marketing spanning leadership roles in media buying, client services, and planning. Throughout her career, Clare has helped clients drive innovation and marketing effectiveness across a diverse range of industries, including news and entertainment, energy, transportation, CPG, publishing, wines and spirits, and beauty.

Prior to Essence, Clare served as Managing Partner and Head of Planning at Maxus and spent more than seven years in account leadership roles as Client Director for Havas in the UK and as Group Account Director for MPG. Now based in London, Clare first began her career in Manchester working as a media buyer across print and radio in roles Universal and MediaVest.

Clare studied at the University of Leeds where she earned a BSc Hons in Psychology and the History & Philosophy of Science.
